Asigra Recognized for Second Consecutive Year by Business Solutions Magazine

Asigra Inc., a leading Cloud Backup?, Recovery and Restore (BURR) software provider since 1986, today announced that Business Solutions Magazine (BSM) has named the company a 2013 Best Channel Vendor for Backup and Disaster Recovery. The IT channel publication recognized Asigra after the company outranked competitive vendors in voting by service providers and Value Added Resellers (VARs).

To determine the top channel vendors for 2013, Business Solution?s VAR and service provider subscribers were asked to participate in the Best Channel Vendors survey. Subscribers were asked to rate their vendor partners on a scale of 0 (worst) to 5 (best) in seven categories. An overall average score for each vendor was determined by adding the cumulative scores of the seven categories and dividing that score by the number of subscribers who rated that product. The findings of the report gives technology providers a valuable guide to who their peers believe are the best channel vendors to do business with.

Among the VAR and service provider readers of Business Solutions Magazine, business continuity (BC) and disaster recovery (DR) planning continues to be one of the hottest topics. Ongoing natural disasters such as Hurricane Sandy, which left millions without power for an extended period in Q4 of 2012, resulted in greater awareness for the need of effective data recovery strategies and solutions.

The Business Solutions Best Channel Vendor award results were based on a survey conducted from mid-September through October 2012. A total of 7,505 validated votes were cast, continuing BSM?s tradition of producing one of the largest surveys of its kind. To ensure statistical accuracy of this survey, BSM partnered with Penn State University and used a Web-based survey format to capture detailed data from participants. The seven areas that vendors were judged on included service/support, channel friendliness, channel program attributes, product features, product reliability, product innovation and adequate VAR margins. Asigra scored well in all areas, with exceptional rankings in product reliability and channel friendliness.

?In the competitive world of IT services, there are many vendor candidates to consider when building a business. These choices can make the difference between success and failure,? said Jeff Brathall, EVP of Business Services at RestorePoint. ?Asigra has proven to be one of our success stories by providing great products and the expertise to speed time to revenue. They are the backup and recovery star of the channel and we applaud them for receiving the BSM award.?

?Empowering our channel partners with the best technology and tools to be successful is Asigra?s top priority,? said Tracy Staniland, Vice President, Corporate Marketing, Asigra. ?This recognition by VARs, service providers and the industry for the second year in a row is an acknowledgement of the significant investments we have made in our programs and partners.?
